Drivers Seen Racing Through School Zones with Disabled Speed Cameras

The fall school year is just around the corner, but with NYC's speed cameras now turned off, some drivers have been seen racing through school zones.

A driver traveling at 40 mph needs 300 feet to perceive a hazard, react and brake in time — that’s twice the distance someone going 25 mph needs.
